Set on 246 untouched acres along the St. Marys River, River & Roots Ranch is a custom cypress and heart pine lodge offering an extraordinary setting for your wedding celebration. Soaring cathedral ceilings, twin stone fireplaces, 3,913 square feet of covered porches, and sweeping pasture views — a backdrop no ballroom can replicate.
As a venue rental, we provide the land, the lodge, tables, chairs, and linens for up to 150 guests, and the magic of the setting. You bring your vision — your caterer, florist, DJ, tent, and décor — and we provide a beautifully equipped blank canvas that is yours for the day.

River & Roots provides the land, the lodge, tables, chairs, and linens. You bring everything else. This gives you complete creative freedom to design the wedding that is uniquely yours.
We're happy to share our preferred vendor list with recommended tent companies, caterers, rental companies, and more in the Jacksonville / Nassau County area.

Couples can exchange vows beneath a grand live oak, in the flower fields in spring bloom, on the lawn beside the lodge, or on the riverbank — each with a different feel and light. Photographers love the sweep across all of them on a single weekend.
We are a venue and land partner. You bring your vendors — caterer, florist, photographer, officiant — and we provide the space, the lodge, tables/chairs/linens for up to 150 guests, and on-site coordination support. We're happy to share our preferred vendor list once you book.
Yes — the Ranch House sleeps 12 in 4 bedrooms. The Full Weekend Experience package ($16,000) includes 2 nights of overnight lodging Friday–Sunday, plus full property access from rehearsal dinner through Sunday brunch.
The covered wraparound porches of the lodge are 3,913 sq ft — large enough to host a full ceremony and reception under cover. You'll never lose the day to weather.
October through May is the most beautiful weather window. Spring brings the flower fields into full bloom; fall offers cooler evenings and golden light. Off-season rates are available for January, February, July and August.

- Deposit
- 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your date; balance due 60 days before event.
- Tables & Chairs
- Tables, chairs, and linens for up to 150 guests are included in all venue packages.
- Vendors
- All client-sourced vendors must be licensed and insured. A licensed caterer and bartender are required for events with food and alcohol service.
- Catering
- Full-service caterers only — no drop-off. Caterers must provide staff for service, clearing, and cleanup.
- Insurance
- $1,000,000 wedding liability insurance required; available through WedSure.com or WedSafe.com.
- Music & Sound
- Live bands and DJs welcome; amplified outdoor sound ends at 10 PM per Nassau County ordinance.
- Tents & Structures
- Tent permits may be required; client is responsible for all permits related to their event.
- Cleanup
- Venue must be returned to original condition; client or vendors responsible for trash removal and décor breakdown.
- Cancellation
- Full refund minus deposit with 180+ days notice; 50% refund with 90–179 days notice; no refund under 90 days.
- Capacity
- Standard capacity 150 guests (tables/chairs/linens included). Up to 200 with per-guest fee.
- Pets
- Well-behaved dogs welcome on leash; no other animals permitted beyond resident ranch animals.
- Smoking
- Smoking permitted in designated outdoor areas only; no smoking inside the lodge.
