Elope With 246 Acres to Yourselves.
Small wedding, enormous setting — intimate ceremonies near Jacksonville for two to fifty guests.
The opposite of a courthouse.
River & Roots Ranch hosts elopements and micro weddings near Jacksonville, Florida on a 246-acre private ranch in Bryceville — the whole property, exclusively yours, from $5,000 on Sundays through Thursdays. Say your vows beneath a grand live oak or on the St. Marys riverbank with your closest people around you, then stay the night in the cypress lodge, which sleeps 12.
A micro wedding here isn't a scaled-down version of someone else's big day. It's the full venue — river, flower fields, pasture, porches, fire pit — sized to a gathering where every guest matters. Weekday and Sunday dates keep the price well below a traditional Jacksonville wedding, and the extra room in the budget tends to go where couples actually feel it: the photographer, the dinner, the extra night.

Yes. Two people, an officiant, and a photographer on 246 private acres is a day we love hosting. Sunday–Thursday dates start at $5,000 for exclusive use of the full property, and we can point you to officiants and photographers who know the land.
Generally 50 guests or fewer. You get the same venue as a full wedding — every ceremony site, the lodge, the porches — with a gathering small enough to share one long dinner table if you'd like.
Yes — the cypress lodge sleeps 12 across 4 bedrooms, so an elopement can become a wedding weekend: ceremony at golden hour, dinner on the porch, fire pit under the stars, and breakfast on the land the next morning.
Venue rental starts at $5,000 for Sunday–Thursday dates, which includes exclusive use of all 246 acres, tables, chairs, and linens. Add-ons like a chef's table dinner, sunset kayak, or an extra lodge night are priced à la carte.
The venue rate is the same for 2 guests or 150, but micro weddings save dramatically on everything scaled per guest — catering, bar, rentals, florals — and off-peak dates carry the lower $5,000 rate.
Yes — a Florida marriage license from any Florida county clerk works statewide. There's a 3-day waiting period for Florida residents (waived with a licensed premarital course) and none for out-of-state couples. Your officiant files the license after the ceremony.
